Tourism and hospitality establishments in Egypt to operate normally

Beaches, coffee shops, and restaurants in hotels across Egypt will be exempted from complying with the closing hours (9pm) as stipulated by the Prime Minister’s Decree regulating certain commercial and entertainment activities in Egypt during the end of Ramadan and the Eid holidays (May 6-21)

Dr. Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, added that the exemption aims to ensure that tourists in Egypt, whose numbers have seen a significant rise the beginning of 2021, especially in the Red Sea and South Sinai Governorates, can enjoy their holidays, and benefit from all activities offered by hotels and resorts around the clock.

Dr. El-Enany noted that tourism hospitality establishments will operate as normal in accordance with the mandatory hygiene and safety measures that have been in place since the resumption of inbound tourism in July 2020, and must continue to comply with the 50 per cent capacity limit.
