Telecom Egypt to provide integrated services to Palm Hill Development’s Badya

ArabFinance: Telecom Egypt (ETEL) has signed a cooperation agreement with Palm Hill Development Company (PHDC), Al Borsa Newspaper reported.

Under the agreement, Telecom Egypt will provide integrated telecommunication services to the city of Badya, located in the 6th of October city in West Cairo.

Telecom Egypt will develop the technological infrastructure of Badya as well as extend the optical fibers network, in order to offer high-speed internet connections to all residential, commercial, recreational units, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt Adel Hamed said.

Spanning 3,000 acres in the 6th of October city, Badya is a smart city being developed in collaboration with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) at a cost of EGP 100 billion, CO-CEO of Palm Hills Development Tarek Tantawy remarked.

This comes within the national strategic framework for urban development of Egypt Vision 2052.

Palm Hills is an Egypt-based company that focuses on real estate investment in the new cities and urban communities, land reclamation and cultivation, and other activities associated with the Company’s operations.

Telecom Egypt is a Cairo-based joint-stock company, which operates in the sectors of communications, marine cables, infrastructure, internet services, and outsourcing services. It offers a range of fixed-line and retail telecommunications services, as well as wholesale telecommunications services.
