Telecom Egypt supports Takaful, Karama program
ArabFinance: Telecom Egypt will provide the beneficiaries of Takaful w Karama (Solidarity and Dignity) program with 3.5 million mobile SIMs, according to a January 13th emailed press release.
The support includes a bundle of minutes, text messages, and megabytes per month at a nominal cost.
The telecom operator teamed up with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in an agreement under which the latter will be provided with more than 2,600 landlines for its social units.
Telecom Egypt will also offer a bundle of text messages and minutes for the ministry’s hotline numbers to communicate and follow-up with the beneficiaries of the program.
In July 2020, the ministry said it would launch the 'Interactive Communication Platform' as part of its mobile application services to serve the program’s registered citizens.
