EgyptAir increases international destinations to 35

ArabFinance: State-run EgyptAir decided to operate regular international flights to a total of 35 countries as of August 1st, Ahram Gate reported.

The airline will increase the number of domestic trips in the coming period in line with Eid al Adha holiday starting on July 30th.

The newly added routes come in line with some foreign countries’ decisions to reopen their international airports, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Mohamed Rushdi Zakaria noted.

The first stage of the airline’s flight resumption included 27 global destinations, with an occupancy rate ranging from 60% to 70%.

Egypt’s national carrier will operate flights to 17 European countries in addition to seven destinations in Africa.

The company will also operate trips to seven states in the Middle East, besides another three in North America.

China’s Guangzhou is among EgyptAir’s international destinations.

In mid-July, EgyptAir announced the resumption of its flights to three African states as well as one Eurasian country.

Airports across Egypt have been allowed to operate since July 1st after a three-month shutdown.
