Eastern Company to pay EGP 1.6/share dividends


ArabFinance: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Eastern Company (EAST) approved the distribution of cash dividends worth EGP 1.6 per share to shareholders for fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, according to a statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

The cash dividends will be paid into two installments; the first is valued at EGP 1 per share, while the second is worth EGP 0.6 per share.

The first installment will be distributed on December 1st, 2021, and the second installment will be paid on February 15th, 2021, with the eligibility for shareholders of record date of November 28th, 2021.

Eastern Company is an Egypt-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing tobacco products.

The company’s product portfolio includes cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, and molasses tobacco, as well as other related products such as cigarettes’ filter rods and homogenized tobacco.
