Egypt’s Sabbour Consulting says it has won a mandate to carry out the designs and engineering consultancies of a modern communications network flagship in the state’s new administrative capital, 40km (24.8 miles) east of Cairo.

This network will be established on a space of 40,000 feddans, the company’s chairman Hussein Sabbour said Sunday.

Sabbour added that his company is receiving offers from a bunch of investment firms, which own land plots in the new capital, in order to execute new designs and engineering consultancies of their projects there.

“We (Sabbour Consulting) has been mandated by the government to carry out new major infrastructure works in the new capital,” he stated.

The Egyptian official referred that Sabbour Consulting has been also tasked with supervising the implementation of new giant drinking water and sewage lines over 40,000 feddans in the new capital.

These works are to be executed by one of the major construction firms, Sabbour concluded.
