Peugeot Motorcycles Italia is mulling kicking off an enterprise for assembling Auto Rickshow (Tok Tok car) in Egypt in collaboration with local co-partners.

A delegation from PMI visited Egypt, held a series of meetings with Egypt-based plants and signed a cooperation protocol with a securities firm in order to secure credit facilities necessary for funding the project, according to manager of the Egyptian Auto Feeders Association Ihab Abu El-Enein.

EAFA notified the Italian Embassy Attache in Egypt of the need to hold a meeting with representatives of PMI in order to overcome possible hurdles and brief them about studies and data qualifying the company to proceed with the project.

PMI, the fourth worldwide in the list of top motorcycles manufacturers, produces seven types of motorcycles and owns five research and development centers, as it operates at 600,000 unit capacity per year.
